Why an AML-CFT training?
To ensure compliance with the AML/CFT State Ordinance, service providers should develop (yearly) comprehensive AML training programs. An effective AML program should cater to the regulatory requirements and risk of an organization. These trainings should cover various aspects of AML/CFT such as understanding customer due diligence, key AML control and procedures, monitoring of customers, recognizing red flags and reporting of unusual transactions/activities.
The AML/CFT State Ordinance mandates the implementation of insightful and effective AML training programs to educate employees about their responsibilities and obligations in detecting and preventing money laundering. This aim is to ensure that service providers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to combat money laundering. By adhering to the regulatory guidelines, service providers can enhance their ability to prevent money laundering and protect the integrity of the financial system.
Non-compliance with staff training requirements can lead to severe penalties, fines and reputational damage. By implementing comprehensive AML training programs, service providers demonstrate their commitment to maintaining a culture of integrity, accountability and ongoing learning and development.
